Bakersfield Lodge No. 224, Free and Accepted Masons, has stood as a pillar of tradition, integrity, and community since its charter in 1872. As one of the oldest Masonic lodges in Kern County, we are proud of our rich heritage and enduring commitment to the values of Freemasonry: brotherly love, relief, and truth.
For over 150 years, our lodge has welcomed men from all walks of life, united by a shared desire to grow in moral character, serve the community, and build lifelong bonds of brotherhood. Generations of Masons have passed through our doors, each adding to the legacy we are honored to uphold today.

Bakersfield Lodge No. 224 is a place where tradition meets modern brotherhood. Our calendar includes regular stated meetings, degrees, and public events like Ladies Night, Mother’s Day celebrations, and open installations of officers. These moments provide opportunities to honor our families, welcome new members, and share the spirit of Freemasonry with the broader community.
We meet at our historic building located at:

This hall has been the setting for countless memories and Masonic milestones. Within its walls, brothers gather to seek wisdom, support one another, and pass on the timeless values that Freemasonry has always stood for.
While we know that Freemasonry is not for every man, we do know that it is for good men that have an ardent desire to become better husbands, fathers, employees and citizens.
A true Mason is true to his word and dedicated to the community and country in which he lives.
